I think we all feel unseen at many times in our lives…

The unseen is more of a practice and way of thinking than an art form…

A walking meditation and an awareness…

How much do we actually see?  How many things do we walk past in any given day, in any given hour, in any given minute? How much suffering do we miss… how much joy? 

How many people do we walk right past… how many people walk right past us? 

If we only look at that which is beautiful and comfortable, how much reality escapes our vision?  The more we miss, the less real everything else becomes…If everything is unreal then what’s the purpose of wandering through a fabricated existence?

Some of the simplest and greatest treasures on this earth exist within what we don’t see versus what we do see…what we choose not to see or simply miss…what if all of the answers we were searching for were simply waiting patiently in those voids that force us to callously look the other way; that we’ve constricted from our ability to even see at all? 

What is to be gained by taking notice of the simple imperfections and formative scars which all things in reality suffer the burden of?

Not try to hide them, but celebrate them.

What if we didn’t seek perfection but reconciled and redefined the idea that perhaps the real perfection is in all that is imperfect?

Life, people, and connections are a tapestry of complexities intricately woven together in ways difficult to see…what fibers do we choose to contribute?  No one is spared in contribution.  We can choose to admire all the threads around us and work in harmony, pattern, and strength, or we can create the ripple unaware of our place and our effect on the frays around us. 

Whichever way we go, it would be better to choose and not simply land in the tangle of oblivion, but to be aware of our place in chaotic, sometimes unfavorable, yet beautiful, web of life.
