Into the Thick is a building body of works that explore the inner trials and tribulations that entangle each of our lives. Like the complexity of the branches in a tree, there is a beauty and reason for the tangle. It is through our struggles that we find strength, hope, and purpose.
The Boy with No Face Collection
The Boy with No Face is the 1st of a series of works unfolding a story that exists within us all. This original piece paves the way to a body of work involving imagery, poetry, and music. The Boy with No Face and his counter character, The Girl who has No Name are alive within us all navigating the paths of time.
Perspectives 2020: Ireland
This initial Ireland collection is part of a collaboration between Roben Bellomo and gallery partner, Jim Hamel. In this original exhibit, Jim and Roben's work stood side by side showing how differently we take in our world and space. While photographing Ireland at all the same times and places, Roben and Jim came away with very different views of what they saw.
Coastlines
Where the water meets the land, coastlines offer us a view of the value of conflict. Erosion and turbulence expose layers and carve out pathways that have moments of contrasting calm and chaos...each necessary and dependent on the other.

The primary operator of BEHN Gallery is Roben Bellomo. Roben has been passionate about photography from a young age, fascinated by the marriage between creativity and technicality. What started as a passion eventually became a career, when he opened BELLOMO STUDIOS in 2013, which focused on custom portraiture and commissioned artwork. He became known for his focus on creating meaningful, memorable, and masterful pieces for his clients.
Very quickly, Roben was singled out for his talent and became a leader in the field. He has been a Top 10 Photographer in the State of Indiana for the last 9 years and was Indiana Photographer of the Year in 2016 and 2021. Nationally, he has been recognized as a Master of Photography by the Professional Photographers of America. Roben has earned both Silver and Gold medals in PPA’s International Photographic Competition, and in 2019 took home a 1st Place Grand Imaging award at PPA’s national event in Atlanta.
In 2018, Roben was selected as one of only 10 photographers in the country to represent Team USA in the World Photographic Cup. Cementing his place as one of the top photographers in the country, Roben was selected for this honor again in 2019 and 2022.
