Big City Nights is a collection of images from my explorations of various cities around the world during the nighttime hours. What started as a way to get out and photograph after the workday was done and after the family was settled in for the night, turned into a way to create images with high impact. The scenes lend themselves to bright colors and high contrast, which I work to draw out to create a high-impact visual centerpiece for your home or office.

Coastlines Collection

While all people can be inspired by the scale and power of the ocean, it is perhaps in those of us that live in land-locked places that the coast truly invokes strong feelings. It might be through the raw power of a huge wave crashing into a rocky coast. Or it might be the restfulness of a sunset at a sandy beach. The varied nature and constantly changing environment create scenes that inspire us to consider the bigger picture.

World Travels Collection

The world is full of extraordinary places. They bring out the best in us, creating a sense of awe and wonder. These are the results of my travels, where I seek out some of the world’s greatest landscapes and man-made structures and then create meaningful photos so you can be inspired by these places every day.

Jim Hamel- Master Photographer, Owner

For Jim, photography started as a means of documenting his travels. A lawyer by trade, he was slow to embrace photography as an occupation. By 2010, the call became too strong and he began pursuing photography as more than a passion.

The results have exceeded all expectations. Jim was quickly established as an authority in the field, and has taught photography throughout the country to amateurs and professionals alike both in person and through digital classrooms, such as Digital Photography School. (In fact, it was at a trip to Indiana to present to a distinguished group of photographers where he met Roben). His first three years in PPA have yielded a Silver Award, a Gold Award, and another Gold Award in the annual International Photography Competition, as well as being recognized as a Master of Photography by the PPA.
