First Friday at Behn Gallery
Friday, May 8 | 7-8:30 PM
Join us for a special First Friday at Behn Gallery — an evening centered around process, creativity, and meaningful work.
This month’s gathering follows a week-long workshop I'll be teaching held in the gallery, where a small group of photographers are working through something many people experience but few complete:
how to take meaningful moments and carry them through into finished pieces.
Photography doesn’t end when the shutter clicks.
The deeper work is in shaping, refining, and presenting those ideas in a way that holds meaning over time.
This First Friday will offer a glimpse into that process, with select work from participants on display.
We’re also excited to welcome Evan Krabill for his first performance in the gallery.
Evan is a singer-songwriter whose sound draws from a wide range of influences — from early hymn melodies to 90s rock and early 2000s pop-punk — now shaped into a style that feels both familiar and distinctly his own. His performances blend original music with select covers, delivered with a thoughtful, relaxed energy that pairs naturally with the gallery environment.
If you’ve joined us before, you know the rhythm.
If you’re new — this is simply a place to step in, slow down, and spend time around art, music, and conversation.
Come for a few minutes or stay awhile.
All are welcome.
